Two Fly as One

Two Canada Geese perming their Mating Dance

Where does one bird end and the other begin? How do they coordinate their flying? I have no idea.

Reaching a spectacular height in their Mating Dance, our Canada Goose nesting pair fly over the salt marsh almost as one bird.

The beauty and mystery of this courtship ceremony render me pretty much speechless at this point, except to repeat that I feel immensely privileged to witness it.

Thank you, dear Canada Geese.
