Bug’s Eye View of Icelandic Poppies

Icelandic Poppies Upside Down.

These beautiful blossoms are fairly similar in color whether seen right side up or upside down, as captured here.

If you’ve never seen an Icelandic Poppy from a cricket’s perspective—voilà.

I carried a tiny tripod today. It’s too short even to look a tulip in the blossom, but ideal for turning our usual viewpoints upside down.

Icelandic Poppies have the virtue of looking pretty similar, whether you stare up from the ground or down from a human’s  viewpoint. Here we’re doing the former. Hung upside down, as it were.
