Tulips and Daffs

Orange Tulips and Yellow Daffodils.

Usually, or so I thought, the Daffs are blown before the Tulips bloom. But this year has been strange, and both peaked simultaneously. Yow.

Call me naïve, but the first time I saw the two bulbs coexisting so happily was last week: Bronze Tulips and Yellow Daffs, each at peak.

Last year, I found so many perfectly ripe Tulip beds, with no Daffs. And now this, plus not much else that isn’t murderously fly-bitten.

Ah well.
