Daffs Dipped in Yellow

Two yellow daffodils, Longwood Gardens, April,2018

No saturation was applied in the post-processing here. This is the bright yellow Daffodil as I saw it on a late April afternoon, 2018.

“SHOOT ME,” they cried.

No shades of yellow. Just the same color everywhere.

You might call it monotonous. Or dazzling.

I think they might be invasive. Did I hear a botanist telling a visitor they had jumped the road separating Longwood Gardens from local neighborhoods? Or did I dream it?

No matter. If these dazzling, monotonous, invasive daffs appeared in my own lawn, I’d transplant them into fresh topsoil and grow ‘em.

Meantime, I shot ‘em.
