A Delicate Thing…What is It?

Cream-Colored Compound Tulip

Yummy as a feather-light pastry, this late-blooming tulip stole my heart this spring.

Neither Rose nor Dahlia…

Deeper than creamy but not quite gold. And the petals? Well, they’re not all petals. Some are sepals that changed color.

Give up? It’s a Tulip. One of the most delicate, fragile, intricate and beautiful Tulips I’ve ever seen. Wish I had noted the name, but at least we have the photo here.

If you’d like to see more of my 2018 Tulip photographs, please let me know in a comment right now. THANKS!
