Between the Tepals

Interior of purple Tulip

What are Tepals. Well, only three of these purple things are petals. The other three are transmorphed sepals, so Tulip Afficinados call them Tepals.

I love this particular Tulip,  because you can clearly distinguish its sepals (the outside three Tepals) from the petals that form  the interior triangle.

Silly? But at least it gave me something to say about this photo.

This Tulip grows in the gorgeous garden whose photo I posted a couple of days back. So you see? I did use the Sony and its macro lens for something.
