Ever since I put up a suet feeder, it’s been mobbed by Blue Jays, Carolina Wrens, Downy Woodpeckers and White Bellied Nuthatches…
But never until now did I catch Gregory the Red-Bellied WoodPecker with his beak in the tallow! And man is his beak smeared with the yummy stuff…
But please keep pecking, Gregory! You are a gentleman and a delightful guest—and your feathers are fantastic.
