Let’s lick the late Fall blahs…
So much to dread in November: annuals die, leaves to rake, gutters clog, days shorten (unless you live in the Southern Hemisphere, lucky one!), fuel bills rocket, health insurance rates rise, gifts to buy with no cash, and here where I live it’s dank, dreary, dismal, depressing…
With one glorious exception…
CHRYSANTHEMUMS! Therefore I hereby declare November to be Chrysanthemum Month in ArthurPix™ Land! All Our Most Excellent Members shall receive at least one new uplifting Chrysanthemum Photo every day -—and I’ll do my best to unearth one new bit of Chrysanthemum Lore to accompany each photo. If you’re not yet a Member, you can become one by scrolling to the bottom of the page, filling in your email address and clicking FOLLOW ME.
Today’s shot is the most phenomenal Chrysanthemum creation I’ve ever seen. Photographed at Longwood Gardens, It’s a single plant with 140 blossoms. Each gorgeous flower is a different variety of chrysanthemum, and they’ve all been grafted onto a single rootstock.
Whoa.
