Finches dominate as usual, but Chipping Sparrows, Carolina Wrens and even Dark-Eyed Juncoes clamour for perches at our six different feeders.

Never before have I seen the Juncoes hovering up nyger seed at a feeder that usually attracts only Goldfinches, but the record cold temperatures must be taxing the metabolisms of even these habitually ground-feeding winter-seekers!
