How sad and abbreviated seemed the usual tulip array, when I visited Longwood Gardens around mid-April…
I’ll return ten days later, but for now, I can show a bit of promise, and not much more.
This field of purple tulips was the only bulb bed even halfway blooming. Cold temperatures and frozen earth had stunted the rest.
Spring will come! Faith, tulip lovers.
