Queens of the Night, Part II

HELP! I was so concerned about shooting the Queen of the Night Tulips properly, that I wound up with too many shots.

So I’m creating a series. In this image, the plum-colored Queens are flanked by fully-formed, lily-petaled Purple Dreams, just a bit overripe. The season was so late this year that the Purple Dream blossoms didn’t last long enough to set off the Queens as well as the Longwood gardeners might have wished, except in a couple of places like this.
