Lyle the Little Blue Heron puts on a show wherever he lands.
Herons are among many birds who take off and land into the wind. This gives the bird much more control, but, as every pilot knows, you must put down your flaps to take advantage of the braking effect.
In Lyle’s case, it looks very much as if he’s flying backward. Happy landings, Lyle! We do hope to see you again soon.
