Beautiful day for a snow dump

To escape the dreariness of January, we took a jaunt to Maryland’s beautiful Eastern Shore…

I’ll confess to bringing my wildlife lens in hopes of finding birds. The Chesapeake is well-known for its Ducks, Egrets, Great Blue Herons, Eagles and so forth.

We saw a couple of seagulls who escaped before I could uncap my telephoto.

So it’s landscape here.

In fact, not even landscape, since a two-day snowstorm took square aim at us, dumping a little less than a foot on the island we chose for a getaway, while dusting our home sweet dreary hometown with a couple of inches.

These beautiful Adirondack chairs had been thoughtfully placed so we could watch the Chesapeake coast.

”You wanted an adventure,” comments spouse.
