Great Egret takes flight into the wind

Eglantine’s beautiful extended wings describe a letter V, which may be one more reason why they call to mind the Winged Victory sculpture in the Louvre Museum.

Photographer’s,note: I shot this photo in October of 2017, on a glorious sunny day. One of my favorite wading birds appeared in my favorite salt marsh, located in a cove on the lower Delaware seashore.
