We make no secret of our fondness for Lyle, having watched him grow from an unusually inquisitive, snow-white Juvenile—to a somewhat awkward and gangly adolescent, half white, half slate—to his beautiful mature superhero suit. And I like to think that Lyle at least likes to hang out in our neck of the swamp. Anyhow, this autumn he’s been possibly our most frequent visitor (after Lester the Lesser Yellowlegs, who visits nearly every day), and he’s been kind enough to offer portraits from several angles. This one has a certain je ne sais quois for us—and perhaps you too, if you squint correctly, can see him striking a pose on the the fashion ramp?
