Ever since I saw him investigating a Ducks Unlimited nesting box ––very naughty, if he were looking for eggs, but more likely just a sign of curiosity––I’ve been hooked. And right now he’s not even snooping or looking for friends. Just posing for animal crackers. Looking sleek and smart, with those windswept powder feathers down at the base of his neck. You’re beautiful, Lyle.
