Day One for Canada Goose Nesting Pair
A couple of days ago, they were hanging out together. No other Canada Geese nearby. Sort of a sign they had decided to nest here, and other Honkers could please find their own nursery.
Today, the Goose appears to be pretty much glued to a nest in the salt marsh, and over here on the dock, the Gander is, uh, sitting guard.
As I understand these things, the Gander will eventually take his own turn warming the eggs. Right now, however, the Goose apparently isn’t budging and Mr. G. knows his job.
